Western hypocrisy Chinese Poetry: "What you really want from us?" Neturei Karta

Recently, a poem composed by a Chinese on the alleged hostile and condescending attitude of Westerners to China has aroused a sensation on the Internet, where and 'turned a lot on various sites and blogs.
Poetry and 'circulated in the original Chinese and in English translation, and is called more' or less "How do you really want?" or "What you really want from us?" rhetorical question facing the Western world. The paternity 'of poetry is not' been confirmed, but rumor that it is a physics professor at a Chinese university 'American adessso retired.

I do not know 'if this poem has never been translated into Italian, but if not I will be' I am the first to translate it here on my blog. Although I do not think all the points raised are valid and meaningful poetry, I believe that at least in some cases it makes the center in full. Certainly the poem gives voice to the sentiments prevalent among many Chinese that Westerners are biased against them and are unable to accept that China goes back to being a great power capable of competing with them at their own fees.

Below is' my translation, with explanatory notes, followed by the original Chinese:

What you really want from us?

When we were "sick man of Asia "(*), we call the Yellow Peril.
When we are in the running to become the next superpower, say that we are a serious threat.

When we closed our doors, smuggled opium into our markets.
When we adopt the free market, we blame 'cause you carry out work.

When we were in bad water, you came with your troops to take your slice.
When we tried to pick up our land, you have shouted "Free Tibet, 'an invasion." When we tried

Marxism, hated us' cause we were communists.
When we adopt capitalism, you hate us' cause we're capitalists.

When we reached the one billion people, were saying we were destroying the planet.
When we tried to limit our population, you said that human rights abuses. (**) When

eravamno poor, we take for dogs.
When you borrow money, we blame for your debt.

When we build our industries, we say that we are polluters.
When we sell you goods, you give us the blame for the greenhouse effect.

When we buy oil, you call it exploitation and genocide.
When you wage wars for oil, you call it liberation.

When we were lost in chaos and disorder, were saying that we had no law.
When we say law and order against violence, calls human rights violations.

When we were silent, were saying that we had no freedom 'of speech.
When we are no longer 'in silence, say that we are xenophobic and victims of brainwashing.

'Why' we hate so 'much? " we ask.
"No", you say, "do not hate you"

Not 'we hate you, but you understand us?
"Naturally," you say, "We have AFP, CNN, and even the BBC."

What you really want from us? Before
think about it, and then respond. 'Cause you do not have infinite possibilities' to do so.

more than enough so ', this world can not' tolerate so much hypocrisy.
We want One World, One Dream (***) and on earth peace. This great planet

e blu 'e' grande abbastanza per noi tutti.

(*) Nell'ottocento, la Cina veniva spesso definita "il malato dell'Asia"
(**) Ovviamente, un riferimento alla politica del figlio unico
( ***) Lo slogan delle olimpiadi di Pechino

Every Sunday the Gospel is proclaimed in thousands of Christian communities ...

Today, however, the Gospel has made me feel so incredibly strong in the streets, and specifically in St. Peter's Square and Piazza del Popolo in Rome.

The first to speak out was Pope Benedict XVI, Angelus says:

"fullness of the law is love" St. Paul writes (Rom. 13:10). Faced with this requirement, for example, the pitiful case of the four Roma children died last week on the outskirts of this city, burned in their hut, requires asking whether a more united and fraternal love more coherent, more than Christian could not have avoided such a tragic event. And this question applies to many other painful events, more or less known, that occur daily in our cities and our countries.

The second item worth noting is that of Sister Eugenia Bonetti in Piazza del Popolo in Rome, during the "If not now when?" to defend the dignity of women.

Listen carefully to the intervention limpid Sister Eugenia Repubblica TV.

The gospel is clear, very clear.

those who foment hatred against the Roma is out of the Gospel.

who accepts a vulgar and hedonistic lifestyle, founded on the pursuit of power and pleasure, is out of the Gospel.
