and with due respect ... ... .. In seven moves here as it can spoil the party

Mario Delpino

The Christmas party is so beautiful, so Christian, so special that it takes to ruin a lot of effort. But we must recognize that Christians, when they want to commit themselves seriously. Highlights some of these commitments:

Changing Names: Do not be called more \u0026lt;> but \u0026lt;>
Applauding teachers and children for the Christmas play put on stage some silly fairy tale to not offend non- Christians with the stories about the birth of Jesus
Teaching children to write the letter to Santa Claus with a string of costly and capricious requests, before the Child Jesus teach us to pray for the things that count. Spend time
decide where to go skiing than to make the confession of Christmas. Exaggerating
: overeating, drinking too much, spend too much, so you have a headache and a reluctance that prevents even to visit friends, the poor, to the cemetery.
find relief in a day to forget for the world's problems and the existence of the poor.
Remember to all except the celebrated: Christmas, itself, would be the birthday of Jesus

faith is not' EVER AGAINST REASON

Faith and reason: that sun in the night
The two measures of the inaugural International Conference on God recently promoted by CEI have proposed a crucial theme. Cardinal Ruini and the philosopher Robert Spaemann have indeed confirmed the feasibility of developing rational proofs of the existence of God deciding to initiate the conference with this speech is very important also to the Catholic world, for many believers fall into fideism, which denies the contribution of philosophy to faith, considering it unnecessary or even harmful, and faith rests only on an inner feeling and the Bible.

In reality, the ability of reason to come to God is already established by the Bible itself. A passage from the Letter to the Romans (I, 19-21), mentioned more than once at the conference: "What can be known of God is manifest to men [...]. In fact [...] its invisible may be covered with the intellect in the things that are made. " And the Epistle of Peter (1 Pt, 3, 15) calls for promoting Christianity in fact also by reason: "Sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always ready to answer whoever asks you the reason for the hope that is in you '.
Even on the basis of these steps the Church has often spoken about the possibility of affirming God with reason. For example, in the encyclical Fides et Ratio (§ 24, 36 and 53), where he also criticized John Paul II (in § 55) the "dangerous introspection on fideism, which does not recognize the importance of knowledge rational and philosophical discourse for the understanding of faith, indeed for the very possibility of belief in God. "But we could also cite many actions of Benedict XVI. Similarly, Cardinal Bagnasco stressed at the conference that" unfortunately [...] and sentimentality emotivism [...] end up endorsing the widespread view that religion and reason belong to two worlds, if not opposed, at least incommunicable. "

However, philosophy can bring to the faith at least two valuable contributions.
First, the philosophical proofs the existence of God can be suggested to those who are not already a Christian, the atheist can lead to the conviction of the existence of God and may also lead to the threshold of the non-Christian faith in the Christian God. In fact, Christians become significant both because they receive directly from God or the faith of some people who also testifies, or even, at times, because they are convinced by the arguments. For example, s. Augustine was converted by a s. Ambrose and reading the speeches of the Neoplatonic philosophers, s. Edith Stein came to Christianity by reading s. Teresa and thanks to the philosophy of St. Thomas, Janne Haaland Matlary - formerly deputy minister of Norway, who was an agnostic (and at times atheist) - came to Catholicism through his philosophy.

Moreover, philosophy can help even those who is already a believer: even the greatest saints have gone through periods in which no inner feeling they confirmed the existence of God, as was the case with Mother Teresa of Calcutta. It is the "night of the soul," to use the expression of s. John of the Cross. In such moments, the philosophy, which can prove the existence of God as well as some aspects of his nature (omnipotence, wisdom, justice, providence, etc..) Can help us remain convinced that God exists, to recognize it even when it thickens the dark. James Samek

DON BOSCO STATISTICS 800

Don Bosco, "statesman" of the Risorgimento
The goal is that Don Bosco was placed since 1846 explains: "Endeavour to make good citizens in this land, then one day they might be worthy inhabitants of heaven. " He did not disown his choice even when the "good citizen" of the Kingdom of Sardinia became the Kingdom of Italy in a hostile to the Church: "As I professed affection for the Catholic priest and head of the Catholic Religion, I have always shown affectionate the Government, for the subjects of which I have always dedicated my fortune and the weak forces and the life. " In addition, its soothing pastoral strategy - "love of work, frequency of the Sacraments, with respect to any authorities and escape from bad companions" - could not be impeded by city governments and state apparatuses, they were worried by the social order of the time. Having overcome the political and religious turmoil of the 1848-1849 biennium with a refusal to join any political party and decided to stand in defense of religion, Don Bosco resumed his social and educational policy, always supported by the leaders of the state as "meritorious work religion and society ", just as were hotly contested by approving laws which initiated the modernization of the country's secular state and its divergence from the Church.

In the fifties, does not strongly support nor oppose the policy innovation directly and publicly - in fact trying jointly with Cavour brothers to solve the case of the archbishop of Turin - the priest avoid excessive harassment and continued to be on good terms with many government officials and ministers, who responded to his appeals for subsidies and clothing and, especially the orphans entrusted. Good relationships are cracked in the early stages of the Unification of Italy. In May-June 1860 - six months after the founding of the Salesian Society - Don Bosco suffered a tough police investigation for suspected political relations with the Holy See and a thorough inspection school for alleged failure to comply with new law school.

vigorous protest with the respective ministers, past brightly the crisis and continued with increasing credit his work as an educator, manager of schools and workshops, advertising, church builder, indeed widened its range out of Turin with the acceptance of new colleges. No one - in the decade that saw sharpening for the Christian conscience "Roman Question" - Don Bosco was unaware of the allegiance of the political line of the Holy See, the politicians did not agree with him when he stated the need, however, not absolute, the Papal States for the independence of the pope, they sensed that the connotations of 'honest citizen' who publicly claimed to be the Don Bosco was not the same as "good citizen "of" their "Kingdom of Italy. But despite these more conservative tendencies that democratic, more egalitarian that paternalistic, more clerical and lay, perhaps because they were involved and he promoted during the years 1865-1875 several attempts at ecclesiastical policy with a view to solving two problems disturbed the political and religious conscience of citizens: the appointment of bishops on the premises, which were free for political reasons and to achieve their part of the so-called "temporality."

In this very private mediation work of Don Bosco was able to be appreciated by the various Cavour and Rattazzi, Ricasoli, Menabrea, Lanza, Vigliotti, Minghetti, Cambray Digny ... At the very Catholic wife dared to ask the latter to inquire about the possibility that the Italian government would be represented at the Vatican! Willing to years of negotiations, only partially successful, remained the generous efforts of Don Bosco - up and down in Turin, Florence and Rome - in the name of the supreme principle of 'lex Supreme animarum salus', it was loaned to realistically combine the skills and responsibilities of both parties. Within seconds the seventies, forgotten dreams of restoration of the Kingdom papal stopped waiting for divine punishment on the "enemies of the Church 'and the old Left in power, the more secular and anticlerical right, largely composed of Masons, Don Bosco had no opportunity to intervene in the sphere of ecclesiastical politics, but did not give to have contact. In 1878 he received personally by the Minister Crispi assurance that the government would give full freedom to the Church to proceed with the conclave.

With the same Sicilian statesman discussed methods of education, juvenile prisons and sent him a memorandum based on the principles of his famous quotation system, but adopted by secular educational institutions. Always work for the same purpose: "I tend to bode well for the morality and reduce the number of urchins, which left to themselves they run great danger of going to populate the prisons. Educate them, into jobs, provide the means, and where necessary, also hospitalized, save nothing to prevent them from ruin, even make good Christians and honest citizens, these works, I say, can not be met, rather they want from any government, any politics. " In 1900, the famous criminologist Cesare Lombroso to prove him right: "The Salesian institutes represent an enormous effort and ingeniously organized to prevent crime, the only fact that is made in Italy."

William of St. Thierry,
the "Doctor of Sweetness"

Dear brothers and sisters, in a previous

Catechesis I presented the figure of Bernard of Clairvaux, the "Doctor of sweetness", the great protagonist of the twelfth century. His biographer - a friend and admirer - was William of St. Thierry, on which I dwell in the thoughts this morning.
William was born in Liège between 1075 and 1080. Born into a noble family, has a lively intelligence and an innate love of learning, he attended schools of the famous, such as those of his home town of Reims, France. He came into personal contact with Abelard, the master that applied the philosophy to theology in the original so as to arouse many doubts and opposition. Even William

expressed misgivings, calling his friend Bernard to take a stand against Abelard. In response to the mysterious and irresistible call of God, which is the vocation to consecrated life, William entered the Benedictine monastery of Saint-Nicaise in Reims in 1113, and some years later became abbot of the monastery of Saint-Thierry, in the Diocese of Reims. At that time there was a widespread need for purify and renew the monastic life, to make it truly evangelical. William worked in this direction within their monastery, and in general the Benedictine Order. However not met little resistance in front of his reform efforts, and so, despite the contrary advice of his friend Bernard, in 1135, he left the Benedictine abbey, he stopped the black dress and wore the white one, to join the Cistercians of Signy. From then until his death in 1148, he devoted himself to prayerful contemplation of the mysteries of God, always the subject of his most deepest desires, and the composition of the writings of spiritual literature in the history of monastic theology.

One of his earliest works is entitled dignity, De Natura et amoris ( The nature and dignity of ). We have made a fundamental ideas of William, also valid for us. The main energy that moves the human spirit - he says - is love. Human nature, in its deepest essence, is to love. Ultimately, only one task is given to every human being: to learn to love, to love, sincerely, authentically, free of charge. But only in the school of God, this task is carried out and the man can achieve the purpose for which it was created. William writes: "The art of arts is the art of love ... Love is sustained by the Creator of nature. Love is a soul force, which leads as a natural place and weight in order that it is "( The nature and dignity of 1, PL 184.379). Learning to love requires a long and demanding process that is articulated by William in four stages, corresponding to ages of man: childhood, youth, maturity and old age. In this route, the person must impose asceticism effective, a strong self-control to eliminate any inordinate affection, any failure to selfishness, and unite their lives in God, source, destination and power of love, until reaching the summit of spiritual life, that William calls "wisdom." At the end of this ascetic path, one experiences a great peace and sweetness. All faculties - intelligence, will, affections - rest in God, known and loved in Christ.

In other works, William speaks of this radical call to love God, which is the secret of a happy and successful life, and which he describes as a continuing desire and growing, inspired by God Himself in the human heart . In a meditation he says that the object of that love is love with the capital "A", that is, God is he who empties into the hearts of those he loves, and makes it appropriate to receive it. It is given to satiety and in such a way that the fullness of this desire is never less. This outburst of love is the fulfillment of man "(De contemplating Deo 6, passim, SC 61bis, pp. 79-83). It is striking that William, in speaking of the love of God attaches great importance to the affective dimension. After all, dear friends, our hearts are made of flesh, and when we love God who is Love itself, not how to express this relationship with the Lord even our very human feelings, such as tenderness, sensitivity The subject? The Lord Himself, becoming man, chose to love us with a heart of flesh!

According to William, then, love has another important property: the intelligence and allows light to know God better and deeper and, in God, people and events. The knowledge that proceeds from the senses and intelligence reduces, but does not eliminate, the distance between subject and object, between me and you. The attraction and love instead produces communion to the point that there is a transformation and assimilation between the person who loves and the loved object. This reciprocity of affection and sympathy can then a much more profound than that achieved by reason alone. This explains a famous phrase of William " Amor ipse intellectus est - already in himself the principle of love is knowledge." Dear friends, we wonder: not quite so in our lives? Is it not true that we only really know who and what we love? Without a degree of sympathy do not know anyone and anything! This is especially the case in the knowledge of God and his mysteries, which exceed the capacity understanding of our intelligence: God if you know you love it!

A summary of the thought of William of St. Thierry is contained in a long letter addressed to the Carthusians of Mont-Dieu, with whom he had visited and wanted to encourage and console. The Benedictine scholar Jean Mabillon in 1690 already gave the letter is significant title Epistola aurea (golden Letter). In fact, the teachings on the spiritual life in it will be valuable to anyone who wants to grow in communion with God in holiness. In this treatise William proposes an itinerary in three stages. It should - he says - go man "animal" to "rational", to arrive at a "spiritual". What do you mean our author with these three terms? At first a person accepts the view of life inspired by faith in an act of obedience and trust. Then through a process of internalization, in which reason and will play a big role, faith in Christ is greeted with deep conviction and experience a harmonious match between what one believes and hopes and aspirations ; secret soul, our reason, our affections. This leads to the perfection of spiritual life, when the reality of faith is a source of deep joy and communion with God is real and fulfilling lives in love and only love. William founded this route on a solid vision of man, inspired by ancient Greek Fathers, especially Origen, who, with a bold speech, had taught that man's vocation is to become like God, who created him in his image and likeness. The image of God this man led him to the similarity, that is towards ever more complete identity between his own will and the divine. In this perfection, that William calls "unity of spirit" does not come with individual effort, albeit sincere and generous, why is another matter. This perfection is reached by the action of the Holy Spirit, who comes to dwell in the soul and purifies, absorbs and transforms into charity every wish and every impulse of love this man. "There is another image of God, we read in the 'golden Epistle," which is that no more similarity, but unity of spirit, when man becomes one with God, a spirit, not only for the unity of the same will, but not in a position of wanting more. In this way, the man deserves to become not God but what God is, man becomes by grace what God is by nature "(Epistola aurea 262-263, SC 223, pp . 353-355).

Dear brothers and sisters, this author, we might call the "Cantore of love, charity," he taught to operate in our lives the choice of fund, which gives meaning and value to all the other choices: to love God and to love her, love our neighbor, the only way to find true joy, a foretaste of eternal bliss. Let us then to the school of the saints to learn how to love authentically and completely in order to enter into this journey of our being. With a young saint, Doctor of the Church, Teresa of the Child Jesus, we say we want to live to the Lord of love. It concludes with a prayer of this saint: "I love you, and you know it, O Jesus! The Spirit of Love me on fire with his fire. Amando Te drawn by the Father, that my heart keeps weak, no escape. O Trinity! You are a prisoner of my love. Living with love, here is a perhaps disproportionate, without asking for pay ... when you love not done the calculations. I have given everything to the Divine Heart, which is full of tenderness! And run a little. I have nothing, and my only wealth is to live for love. "

MORO AN ENDLESS TRAGEDY

November 10, 2009
CASE
Moro, here is the truth about Zaccagnini and Paul VI
The then secretary of the DC and the Pope was willing to do "everything possible" to the leader seized by the Red Brigades without weakness.

Twenty years after his death ... I met Benigno Zaccagnini on the evening of 17 or 18 March 1978, shortly after the kidnapping of Moro and the massacre of Fani. Elio and Ettorina Brigante, the sister of his wife Anna, who sheltered him in their house because of Camilluccia, I was asked by phone if I could give a 'spiritual support' Benigno. From that night very often, even late into the night, I was near the time of those 53 days of a pain for him that lasted 11 more years until his death, November 5, 1989. I've seen it think, suffer, cry and pray until the morning of the funeral of Moro.

Well, today, in solemn commemoration ceremonies like the one in Montecitorio and books dedicated to him with kind words man, and on the politician on the witness of 'secularism' Christian-maybe a bit 'adapted to the circumstances of today - there is always a gap, and on those 53 days are slipping away from shame and fear, as if it were better not to talk about it. Hovers like a shadow of a 'failure' - we also have books! - With implied accusation that affects not only Zaccagnini, but he also Paul VI. Yes: you read in the Letters of Moro hard things to Zaccagnini, but also to Paul VI, who "has done little, maybe they will care." And no one remembers that More had publicly only by his executioners told him that perhaps nothing of the reality in which, Paul VI tried them all, in Italy and abroad, in international organizations, the Red Cross, Amnesty and the UN, and did collect a large sum, if you do need. In mid

April 1978 that the Catholic Civilization (draft always seen in the Secretary of State) wrote that, unless treated at par between the State and Br - had to do everything possible to free Moro: more ... In those days, and on those nights I've seen Zaccagnini also decided to make this all possible, but unless the political attempts of looting did not open any way to save his friend and guide, who alone had convinced him to accept the Secretary of the Christian Democrats. His dramatic phrase repeated many times was this: "If there was a glimmer." The window of opportunity was never there, and indeed Moro was killed on the morning of May 9, when one seemed capable of being opened. He, moreover, not had conceded nothing, become a burden, he would die. Well, after Moro and his family, after his five bodyguards and their families, the first victims of that tragedy was just the two of them, Benigno Zaccagnini and Paul VI.

I followed closely the play in other ways. I was in daily contact - and Zac knew - with Archbishop Cesare Curioni, then chaplain at the historic San Vittore and then inspector general of the chaplains of all Italian prisons, and on behalf of the Pope tried many other ways, including talking with Renato Curcio and Alberto Franceschini, Br then processed in Turin, which he said is completely unrelated to each other. It was Curioni, among other things, to write at night and under the dictation Pope, Monsignor Macchi this, the first draft addressed to "Men of the Red Brigades." For various reasons then I was in contact with Tonino Tato, Secretary Enrico Berlinguer, and they also knew. The 'strategy of the firm'-informed opinion, and not in hindsight - was not chosen by the fierce tax Zac steely Communist Party, but without the obligation of a reality alternative to painful Zaccagnini and Paul VI. Thus distort the 'vulgate' of the Communist Party who was in command with icy determination, that of Zaccagnini obeyed trembling and powerless and the Pope and the Vatican, which were limited to prayers and lamentations opposing any concession baseless insult, even if it hovers in the commemorations and omissions of recent books. Zaccagnini a little passive and energetic? And yet - he also wrote Enzo Biagi, never denied, he told me that if that March 16 they had the Red Brigades kidnapped Aldo Moro, after the approval of the new government he would resign from secretary did not agree with some appointments of ministers made without his knowledge. Little energy? On the evening of the funeral of Moro in the church of Christ the King prohibited the men from the DC family, there was another house Brigante requiem mass, and got a phone call Fanfani: asked the Secretary for permission to participate, except for personal, the funeral. Benigno's response was strong and dry, "No! You are free, but if you go and I'll report you to the arbitrators to expel from the party. " Last

: a few weeks later, on polling day for the new president of the Republic, Benigno tells me that the phone is distressed because the men in the Dc, Small and others, do not want to vote as President Pertini. Wonder if in his opinion, the choice of Pertini is right and proper. He replies that are elderly, sometimes impulsive and unpredictable, but honest and clean. So I think his confidence on the resignation: "Call your 'Friends' and' them that if they do not vote tomorrow Pertini thou resign." The next day, Sandro Pertini was elected president. The mild Zac had played its part: as usual.

FREEDOM 'OF THE CROSS OF CHRIST ... The story is not over

The Cross as culture and standard of victory, triumph of love over hate and evil, hope and faith on each

despair and denial free or pessimistic; fraternity Universal against any resurgence ethnic or nationalist or ideological

always lurking and never completely defeated in all parts of the earth, the Cross, as the most universal human dimension, the

which no one can escape, let alone the heathen, let alone non-Christians, the Cross as a formidable weapon against any

all spiritual and material poverty.

And here you can not help but recall an example, the words of the Communist and atheistic Natalia Ginzburg, which although

communist and atheist, yet independently of faith in God that no longer had, was also an example of secular and educated

intelligent.

And what can we say, because despite its ideological limitations, but with the power of one cultural tradition, proved to be

able to read even the most intimate of our own culture (that ability should be true all the laity, without

degraded secularists ), so no doubt he could say in 1988:

I'm sorry that the Crucified disappear forever by all classes. It seems to me a loss. All or almost all the people who

know they say that should be removed. I'm sorry that the Crucified disappears. If I were a teacher, I would not in my class

was touched ... The crucifix does not generate any discrimination. Silent. And 'the image of the Christian revolution, which has

scattered throughout the world the idea of equality among men hitherto absent ... The crucifix is a sign of human suffering. The crown

of thorns, the nails, evoke his suffering ... It is part of world history ... Before Christ no one had ever said that

men are equal and brothers all, rich and poor, believers and nonbelievers, Jews and non-Jews and blacks and whites, and no one before him

said that in the center of our existence we have place the solidarity between people ... It seems to me good the boys,

children, they know right from the banks the school. Jesus Christ carried the cross. We all happened or is happening to bring about

shoulders the burden of a great disaster. In this calamity we call the cross, although we are not Catholic because they are too strong

too many centuries and is imprinted with the idea of the cross in our thinking. All, Catholic and secular bear or bear the burden of a

misfortune, shedding blood and tears trying not to collapse. This tells the Crucified. He says to all, Not just for Catholics.

[ Natalia Ginzburg (1916-1991) March 25, 1988 wrote in the newspaper L ' Unit, an article entitled "Do not remove this

Crucifix." A commentary on this issue and article, which appeared in 2003 CulturaCattolica.it by Vitaliano Mattioli ].

DOCUMENTARY APPENDIX
Crosses, Bertone
'Europe leaves us only the pumpkins'

"I say that the Europe of the third leaves us only the millennium celebrations of pumpkins lately repeated and it takes away the dearest symbols. This is truly a loss ", said the Vatican secretary of state, Cardinal. Tarcisio Bertone about dela Strasbourg ruling. "Our reaction - he added - can only be deplored" and "now we must try with all their might to keep the signs of our faith for believers and nonbelievers."
"We have heard many voices - said the cardinal - and the echo of the pain of those who feel a little betrayed his roots in his thinking that this is a religious symbol symbol of universal love, not exclusion, but the host. I believe this is the experience of all. "
"I say unfortunately - Bertone added that he attended a press conference at the hospital the Infant Jesus - that the Europe of the third millennium, we just let the pumpkins before the party recently repeated November 1 and it takes away the dearest symbols. " The cardinal also "all our cities, our streets, our homes, schools" are religious symbols like the crucifix and then, asked, "we must remove all the crucified? I think of all the works of art that have the crucifix and the Pity, I wonder if this is a sign of reasonable or not. " The secretary of state to then told reporters he had not yet heard the views of the Pope on the subject. "I'll see it tomorrow," he said. THE JUDGEMENT OF THE COURT

Gianluca Cazzaniga
The European Court of Human Rights has issued an interim award yesterday against Italy for the presence of crucifixes in classrooms is considered an infringement of freedom ; religious children that the right of parents to educate their children in light of their religious beliefs. In the Court of Strasbourg Italy has violated Article 2 Protocol 1 (right to education) and Article 9 (freedom of thought, conscience and religion) of the Convention on Human Rights. The judges of the Court had already issued some rulings on rights to education and religious freedom, but this is the first concerning the presence of religious symbols in schools. A Chamber composed of seven judges of the Second Chamber of the Court, including Italian Vladimiro Zagrebelsky, has unanimously condemned the Italian government to pay compensation of € 5 000 for moral damages the small Italian town that has raised the case. For now this is an interim award and the judge Nicola milk, which defends Italy before the Court in Strasbourg has already ruled that the government wants to request a referral to the Grand Chamber of the Court to reopen the game.
If the action of the government was not upheld, the sentence passed yesterday would become final after three months. So it is for the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe to decide, within six months, which the Italian government should take actions in order to avoid further violations related to the presence of crucifixes in classrooms. The case landed in Strasbourg was established by the legal battle started years ago by Soile Lautsi, an Italian citizen of Finnish origin, married to a professional Padua and mother of two children. In 2002 the two boys attended the middle school "Vittorino da Feltre" in Abano Terme. In classrooms, as is the case for centuries in every school in our country, there was a crucifix hanging behind the chair.
Mrs. Lautsi, convinced on the basis of some kind of theory, that the presence of Christian symbols in the classroom was contrary to the secular so dear to her - or maybe it's secularism - went to school in protest, calling for an opinion of the Supreme Court in 2000, that the presence of crucifixes in the polling booths would be contrary to the principle of state secularism. In May 2002 the principal of "Vittorino da Feltre" decided to leave the crucifixes in the classrooms. This approach is also recommended following a directive from the Ministry of Education. Not satisfied, Mrs. Lautsi decided to appeal to the TAR of Veneto, in January of 2004 postponed the case to the Constitutional Court to determine whether the presence of crucifixes in classrooms was consistent or not to principles enshrined in the Italian Constitution. In March 2005 the High Court rejected the demands raised by the stubborn Italian-Finnish, ruling that the crucifix is both a symbol of Italian history and culture and hence of national identity, is the symbol of the principles of equality, freedom, tolerance. And the secular state. The State Council, in February 2006, rejected the appeal filed by Soile Lautsi. Yesterday, however, completely ignoring the pronouncements of the Italian courts, the Strasbourg court ruled in favor of Mrs. Lautsi. "The presence the crucifix, which is impossible not to notice in the classroom, could be easily interpreted by students of all ages as a religious symbol, "says the statement released by the European Court of Human Rights. "This could be encouraging for students of religion, but at the same time could disturb the students atheists or those who practice other religions, especially if they belonged to minorities."
The judges (including Italian Zagrebelsky). The authors of the seven judges decision are: Francoise Tulkens (Belgium, President), Vladimiro Zagrebelsky (Italy), Ireneu Cabral Barreto (Portugal), Danute Jociene (Lithuanian), Dragoljub Popovic (Serbia), Andras Sajo (Hungary), and Isil Karakas (Turkey).

Pregnancy Congratulations Message

Taylor: "The story is not over '

The rejection of the "subtraction stories" is one of the sides of the intuition that humans 'construct' new identities, new and imaginative ideas of their position in the cosmos and history. The quotation marks in the concept of "construction" means to point out that this is not something we do deliberately and controlled. We are more like sleepwalkers, which are transported between different buildings.

That is to say, there is certainly some element of intent (We are caught by new moral and religious ideas, like that of sola fide), but there are a lot of unintended consequences. Nor do I mean by "construction" that the changes do not correspond to anything in reality, they are completely arbitrary. All this is perhaps the 'construction' an inappropriate term, but I have found a better one. With it I want to indicate that an important historical change does not arise simply because we spread some belief or some conceptual boundaries, but we are always working on the redefinition of our ability to act and we are always changing ourselves. As talk about a change of direction? We come to the question of Hegel because Hegel sees it in a direction of change that moves the story (the spirit unfolds, fully realized the reason itself). I said I do not think that the changes are purely arbitrary.

If something like the doctrine of sola fide was able to have such a great impact on history, it must correspond to something important in the human condition, something that the adoption of this doctrine answer. We learn to know our nature by observing what happened in history. So far, the perspective is Hegelian. However, where Hegel is wrong assuming that there is only one direction of change, namely that there is only one line of development that leads us forward. Clearly, however, history shows us that it is not. There are broad similarities between the powerful routes of change we observe in different civilizations, but they can all be traced to a single line of development.

Take for example the axial period. Jaspers is right in saying that happened here is something important: a sense of transcendence or of a higher good comes in several advanced civilizations. These then have enormous power to drive those who live the margins of these civilizations. However, it is very difficult to bring to light what is the common element here, for example, between the Hebrew prophets, Greek philosophers, Confucius and the Buddha. These new openings can not be compared along an axis that runs from those that truly reflect historical change and those that reflect only imperfectly or only a first approximation. This type of hierarchy reflects the narrowness of thought and the arrogance of the West and Hegel was subdued (though we're not moralistic, it was hard not to see it in Europe at that time). In other words, it is true that some historical developments can be seen as the unfolding of an important human potential (and here we are certainly in Hegelian territory) and the palette of these developments is quite wide and can not be restricted in advance (and here we break with Hegel).

Certainly there is room for more surprises. We should also add that these dynamics, although it corresponds to an important potential, almost always resulting in loss of other potential beings. For example, the "disenchantment" of the world is not just our beliefs lose some bizarre and improbable over the relics or the spirits of the forest, it is also to develop our a new way of being in the world as "self-compressed" (buffered selves), and this means the loss of a certain kind of sensitivity.

Thus, Hegel is right in saying that

a) certain changes are the implementation of important potential, but he is wrong

b) because there is only one direction for such changes. Instead, there were rivals or similar forms, to indicate where we struggle to find a general term, as with the revolutions of the axial period. Moreover, Hegel is wrong

c) the fact that these changes involve losses and gains, and often confront us with profound dilemmas. Human history seems oriented towards uniformity, because some developments give a great economic and military power to companies that adopt them.

This forces other companies to develop at least the functional equivalent, if you do not want to be subservient. However, these functional equivalents should be developed starting from the cultural resources available to the companies themselves, so we have not one modernity, but multiple modernities. I think the "postmodern" is only the continuation of certain tendencies of modernity. Modernity itself has always been something that we fought, because it includes new concepts of order (as the modern moral order) and various forms of rebellion against them.

Both of these instances contain some truth, from my point of view. We need some modern version of the moral order to live decent lives, in which certain forms of human barbarity, inequality, exploitation can be minimized, but we can not have fetishistic adoration for these orders, or pretending that They cover all our screw regulations. What seems absurd and ridiculous at times from this point of view is the inexorable "seriousness" (sérieux) of this struggle between those who believe in absolute order, and those who want to refuse any order. Both positions are equally untenable and it is painful to see so much energy, even among the best minds, lost in this useless battle.

Berlusconi and China.

recently, looking occasionally the site of La Repubblica, or read some news on sites of international newspapers, or "China Daily", the only Chinese newspaper in English, I sometimes find latest un'po 'on the last chapters of the tragicomic story of Berlusconi.

Although, looking at it from far away China, the scandals of Berlusconi and his statements Megalomaniac may seem absurd and even comical, I realize that in reality 'there is very little comedy in his figure. The application and 'why', despite the impresentabilita 'the figure of Berlusconi, the majority of Italians continue undeterred to vote again (we are already' in his third government)? The answer more 'evident' this: Berlusconi has for years plagued the minds of Italians, especially those of most cultural LEVELS 'low, with its television stations, and now we reap the rewards.

The fact that a billionaire loudmouth ignorant and without any political experience could first rip the minds of stupid people with its three television channels for years and then create a political party and win the election almost from day to day, reflecting serious shortcomings in the democratic West. Berlusconi is not going to come 'to abolish the election will' to abolish the freedom 'of speech, because' the historical moment is' not suitable. Pero 'continue' to govern more 'or less like a king' as long as the Italians continue to vote for it, very little respect the shape of democratic institutions. And the social classes 'low, that most' suffer policies, will continue to send him back to power.

Here in China, virtually no one has ever heard of Berlusconi (indeed 贝卢斯科尼, or Bei Lu Ke ni, his Chinese name). And frankly, not 'that if I miss it. But I wonder if knowing the full story of Silvio Berlusconi, did not 'find a kind of confirmation that it is better for them to maintain their political system, instead of copying the West's liberal democratic system? One of the topics that provide more favorable to the Chinese Communist Parito on 'cause you can not' adopt democracy China sounds more 'or less like this', "in China we still have lots of peasants and ignorant people who do not know what is' good for them, we can not afford to vote to choose who governs them, we're not ready, look at that mess and 'India with its democracy and its elections. " The comparison with India and 'the more' common, given that India and 'another Asian country of a billion people, that when independence was attained under conditions similar to China, and has adopted a system of representative democracy. The comparison is 'definitely in favor of China in that China has been able to guarantee its citizens the fulfillment of their basic needs much more' in India, and has obtained very more 'economic development.

If instead of looking to India looks to Italy, they would see that even in a relatively modern and prosperous Western country with a comparatively well-educated, least literate, and 'possible for the first demagogue who comes milardario buy half' the country and become prime minister through democratic elections. Sure, maybe in less corrupt countries with a tradition of meaning and legality of the state 'more' solid, such as Britain or France, one that Berlusconi could not take power, at least not without first getting rid of TV channels. But 'most of the countries in the world do not have traditional democratic institutions as strong as the Great Britain or France, and China did not for sure.

At present, one that Berlusconi could never take power or to have so 'much influence in China. The Chinese government would never allow the first passing billionaire to own a slice so 'big media and brainwashing the minds of the Chinese for years as he wished. In China, only the government will retain the right to seek to control the minds of the people, and certainly not delegated to the first passing billionaire. There being no free elections, a like Berlusconi could never create his own party with a name like 'ridiculous and populist (中国 加油, "China put the gas, it would be the equivalent of" Go Italy "), all with bomb its propaganda, and win elections. In China, only those who have years of experience as a politician in the Communist Party can 'hope to win power. But if 'there were free elections, I wonder' what could happen. Hundreds of millions of Chinese semi-educated or illiterate, could perhaps be brainwashed by someone like the Berlusca? It 's not to be excluded.

For an example very close to China, just go to Thailand, where the billionaire populist and former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra and 'almost the exact equivalent of Berlusconi. A billionaire originally enriched in the field of telephony, and Thaksin 'arrivatol to power with his party Rak Tai Tai (which means "I love Thai Thai), voted mostly in rural areas and among the poor. It 'been accused of corruption, authoritarianism, conflict of interest, tax evasion, a little diplomatic and attitudes have limited the freedom' of the press. I remember someone? In 2006, Thaksin was deposed in a coup and forced to flee abroad. I do not know 'if Berlusconi will come with' a lot (nearly there I hope), but the point 'that obviously in democratic countries where there is' a lot of corruption and there is' a strong tradition of democracy, Thaksin and Berlusconi is always lurking.

10 things that I like China

Ten things I like in China:

1) the exotic 'all

2) Being able to walk the streets at night and feel perfectly safe

3) The fact that the Chinese do not have the culture of going to the beach (although I do not like)

4) The attitude aggressive and modest, 'deeply rooted in the Chinese psyche

5) The fact that most Chinese do not practice organized religion

6) People who stares at me in the street. It 'nice to be in the spotlight without having done anything to deserve

7) The fact that people do not have any strong preconceived opinions on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, or any other controversial issue of the Western world

8) The food of course. Especially the fact that all the foods that I do not like, such as chocolate, tomato and cheese, are relatively rare

9) The fact that girls are so feminine. They do not say bad words, do not get drunk and do not smoke etc ... because 'is not considered feminine. This' does not mean 'all that remained stuck on antiquated views about the relations between the sexes and sexual issues

10) The way the Chinese are doing everything to help strangers, to a point so' extreme as to be almost embarrassing. It 'also very convenient for foreigners like me

will not do' a list of ten things that I do not like China, which would not be polite, but certainly with regard to Beijing's climate, transportation and overcrowding days of light visibility '(due to a combination of pollution and climate), I would immediately think. Besides the tofu that they sell on the street that smells so much that you must stay at least ten meters away. And the Internet censorship.

Royal Hamster

Title: Hamster Royal
Fandom: Merlin
Author: Enlil

Notes: This is a story I wrote for the birthday Thalia . I know I'm late, and as a gift is not much, I still hope that I apologize and appreciate your thoughts. ^ _ ^
Note2: This is the very first story I write about Merlin and I must say, I enjoyed a world! Any grammarian-syntactic errors and fauna is entirely attributable to me, if you find someone to let me out, do not be ruthless.

"Of all the stupid things you've ever done in your pathetic life-"

"Now you do not seem to be a little 'esageran-"

"This is definitely the stupidest of all! In short, the filing should redefine the common conception of stupidity! "

Merlin considered it quite unfair, after all not happened so often to do something silly. Yes, was to consider the week before, when he accidentally set fire to the wig that important advisor, but basically it was something that could happen to anyone. And in any case, Arthur was definitely making it seem worse than it actually was.

"Merlin! Maybe the concept will seem strange, but as my servant is your duty to at least pretend to abide to hear when you insult! Perhaps consider me an idiot? "

" Yes Arthur ... that is, no-what was the question? " asked Merlin waking from his thoughts.

Arthur piped miserably, collapsing dead weight in the pillow.

"If I were not reduced in this state, you'd just won a week in the pillory."

Merlin cocked his head to the side, not taking it seriously even for a moment the threat addressed to the other guy.

"Come on, the bottom is not so bad. In fact, I have to say you're kinda cute. "

"Merlin, look at me," said the prince with a shrill squeak. "I'm a fucking rodent!"

In fact at that time that the truce was not staring at the blond boy prince who had long since begun to consider the source of all his troubles, but a tiny golden-haired hamster and mustache trembling with anger.

"But a decidedly rodent royal," he hastened to add Merlin.

After all, as he had stated several Prince at the same time, it was something that could happen to anyone. And then it was all the fault of Arthur and his stupid whims when it comes to hair.

When, months ago, Arthur was aware of its powers (the fault of that damned dragon that had not only decided it was time to cut and run, but while I was there, to raze half Camelot) had not taken very well. He had given to Uther, yes, but the silent treatment silent resentment and hatred that he had reserved more than once, without desiring the opposite.

Then there was the turn (a bad story about a female troll and a love potion, but he and Arthur had a silent agreement not to talk about it ever) and things between them had gone better. Not only had resumed Arthur Merlin as his servant, but had even agreed that its powers were not necessarily evil, especially when he discovered he could exploit them for their gifts whims.

Since then, Merlin was a continuous bring back the spear that I lost last month , Merlin filled pimples of the face of the servant that I disrespected Merlin and the color of this tunic I do not like, make it red Merlin, or you're an idiot, get away from my sight (ok, that last sentence was not exactly new, but now Arthur said it even more frequently than before).

"Let me return to normal immediately," squeaked fighting Arthur.

Merlin moved away a bit 'the bandana from his neck to do with absent-minded.

"Yes, of course ... You mean right now ? "

"-Merlin"

"I remind you that you were the one potion that will make your hair shiny," she defended the dark bringing both hands forward. "I told you that I'm not good to mix the ingredients and the like. But you insisted! "

" You you are able to get me back as before, right? "Said the hamster getting cold on his hind legs and staring at the dark with eyes reduced to aqueous two slots.

"Sure that can get you back as before, but I need some 'time ... if it were a normal spell would not have had problems, but we need to create an antidote to the right ingredients, time, and especially you have to wait that Gaius returns from his trip, "Merlin finished with just a whisper. He would never admit to Arthur, but had no idea where to begin to prepare the potion.

"But I do not have time!"

Merlin looked at him to question.

"The banquet, Merlin, the banquet! "continued the prince with a squeak exasperated. "King Duncan comes to visit us, you reminded of something?"

Indeed Merlin had heard in the kitchens of the royal family to visit one of the neighboring kingdoms to Camelot. At the time he was too busy flirting with the fat cook to care (the old woman had a crush on him that night and then served mutton!), But apparently the rest of the court was in turmoil for days.

"You can not just say you're sick?"

"In that case call a doctor to visit me and I do not think there are diseases that can explain why I have suddenly turned into a tiny ball of fur. Do not go, then, would be an insult too seriously, almost as a declaration of war. "

" And I guess that is not a good thing, "Merlin shrewdly considered putting a hand to his head.

Arthur pathetically covered his nose with its feet let out a groan in exasperation.

"Merlin, I swear that I never in my life seen a more stupid and incompetent wizard you!"

Now Merlin felt really offended. In short, there were plenty of witches and wizards that happened every so often to make small mistakes, I guess. Sure did not have much knowledge in that round of people, because sooner or later it always ended to try to get him to the skin. Definitely not a good basis for a civil relationship and lasting.

"I regret to inform you that I can do a lot of things, like to blow things up or open doors locked or mists create out of nothing ... the other week I have also taken the form of a waitress e. .. I already told you I can blow up things? "

" You have taken the form of a maid? "squeaked the prince with his nose peeping between the tiny paws.

"I did nothing wrong," he defended himself while Merlin's purple shadow colors the tips of his ears. "I just wanted to take something from the kitchen ... no offense, but you give me the pay is pitiful. "

"Merlin, you're a genius!" Arthur interrupted him triumphant.

"Well, thank you," said the dark took a bit 'off guard by this unexpected compliment.

"You take my point, go to the banquet in my place and Gaius will return tomorrow and I will finally return to normal."

"Perfect, that is- What should I do? "

" Next, Take my appearance. "

" Arthur, I do not think that idea is so wise. In short, and if they come out? "

" Then my father will imprison you for turning to witchcraft and his only son and heir to the throne in a hamster and you will only a pile of ashes. Now on, processed, "he ordered Arthur shook his mustache with impatience to do.

sighed and Merlin, creating a mental picture of Arthur in his mind, he felt his skin painfully pull on the muscles which gradually became more and more swollen, at one point was almost sure I heard his shirt torn at the shoulders.

"Oh, come on," Arthur snapped a complete transformation. "I am a thousand times better looking than that! Do it again and this time put us more work! "

Merlin stared in disbelief and then Arthur's gaze to his clothes torn to shreds. If it was true that there were two sides of the same coin, found himself with a snort and consider knocked what was left of his shirt, then the side of Arthur would certainly be rusty.

*

Take lessons from a hamster label was definitely one of the most unique experiences that Merlin had ever done in his young but eventful life. The fact that the hamster and then continued to insult his posture, his manner and his being in general, does not help to make it more enjoyable.

"I'll stay always at hand to keep you from doing things incredibly stupid, "said Arthur clawing inside of his sleeve. "I did not think would ever see the day when I would have told you, but do not you dare crush "

Merlin sighed as he tried to establish a decent cloak on his shoulders. He had never been so difficult when he had to wear was Arthur, but probably it was the fault of all those unnecessary muscolacci bulky.

"Not if you do not bow down before the king and his daughter, please. Never point the word servitude and be dignified and regal. "

" As you say. "

" Do not be rude to King Duncan and his daughter, but be not too friendly, after their kingdom was small and insignificant compared to Camelot. "

" Yes Arthur. "

" See not seem like an idiot, or being stupid, or doing stupid things, damn, you see not same! "

Merlin sighed watching their unrecognizable reflection in the mirror looking at him confused. Definitely not an expression that is suited to the future king of Camelot. He tried to raise an eyebrow in the typical way of doing when Arthur saw as unworthy of attention, but it ended only with the constipated look.

"Sure I can try to convince the dragon to come back for a while '? I do not say much, only for a fire or maybe two-"

" Merlin! "

*

Once in the banquet hall Merlin felt the muscles of his legs (even those damn muscular, he could not help but note. Not that had peeked course) to become rock hard.

In the sumptuous tables of embroidered fabrics in red and gold were lying flat filled with every delicacy, whose very sight of her mouth filled with saliva Merlin. A great shouting and noisy laughter echoed in the room were encouraged by the overflowing cups of wine.

This that made the blood freeze in the veins of Merlin, however, was the sight of King Uther that, with a friendly smile, the gesture was to sit beside him.

"You've had to wait," said Morgan with the acidity just cracked his melodious voice.

"Sorry, I-ah!" Merlin was startled to hear two entrargli tiny sharp teeth into the flesh of the wrist. "Here, I wanted to say that I do not spend all the time mica to brush my hair, I have things ... princely and heroic to do myself. A lot, "he recovered swelling his voice pompous royalty.

Morgana stared at him strangely and Merlin hurried to sink your face in a glass full of wine.

"Arthur, I'd like to introduce you to King Duncan and his daughter, Lady Susan," Uther said laying a hand on his shoulder. Merlin had to suppress a shudder and tried to distract the man and the girl, smiling affably sitting in front of him.

"The pleasure is mine to make your acquaintance, Prince Arthur," said shyly the girl while her eyes were veiled by demure lashes.

The young age and the pleasure of Lady Susan was even more enhanced by the contrast with the purple and swollen face of his father who, by the way he dropped half the contents of his cup on the table, seemed to have already been toasted more than once that evening. Her beauty was not a flashy as that of Morgan, but more shy and sweet, with auburn curls that caressed the cheeks and then fell on his shoulder, and Merlin was not able to do is to try an immediate liking to him.

"Do you like Camelot," asked Merlin to ask a goofy smile.

Morgana stared at him so intensely that the piece of chicken that kept hovering in the fork fell with a thud on the plate, stamped an expression on his face in disgust.

"Oh, yes," replied Lady Susan with a shy smile. "Everything here is so beautiful and luxurious. My kingdom is very small and before today I had never left us so much in my life. "

Merlin gave him a big smile, very little dignity before jumping on the chair because of a particularly vicious infertogli bitten in the arm.

"What is it? You hurt me, "she whispered through clenched teeth in a towel that was tactically brought to the mouth.

"Just think of me and stop being a flirt, you idiot!" Answered somewhere in his sleeve.

"It feels good Prince Arthur? It seems disturbed. "

"It's nothing, just a little bit 'of stomach ache," Merlin said with a smile to the young woman pulled. "Probably will go alone."

Merlin reached out to grab the jug of wine. That night could only end in disaster, or more likely with a stake. If just one had to be his last meal before the Uther reduced to a pile of ashes, at least before you would make sure to get drunk properly.

*

The banquet

passed relatively smoothly. It was nice for once to be served and not having to wear a stupid hat. In addition Uther that night seemed strangely affable and cheerful, at least as it can be a minotaur who decides to do some 'conversation with his next snack.

"I heard that she is an experienced hunter, Prince Arthur," Duncan said King over his pork shank and the other between sobs.

Uther slammed his glass on the table to make proud, the cheeks and nose red from too much wine.

"My son is the best hunter of all Camelot!"

"Well, yes. We know principles while to kill things and throw sharp things e. .. kill other things, "said Merlin with a mouth full of wild boar.

The brown felt a desperate whimper coming from her dress, but did not care and you need another piece of meat.

'E' a good thing that the forests of Camelot are secured thanks to its value, "said Lady Susan kindly laying his hand on his muscular arm of the boy in front sedutole.

The young wizard felt his own face on fire and the boar's choked. Between a cough and the other took the cup and took a long swig of dark liquid.

"Um, thank you."

The hamsters could growl? Why glare that felt decidedly out of his sleeve looked like a snarl.

"Where is Merlin? It was not to accompany him to the banquet? "Said Morgana very disgusted by the scene.

"I decided to give it a few days of freedom. It 'a servant so efficient that it deserves its own. Not to mention his keen intelligence and his good looks, "said Merlin, unable to completely hide the sly smile that he was born on the lips, then tilted her head sideways and said," I guess I will give him ; a pay rise. "

Morgana left almost upset his cup on the table, in any event would not have noticed because he was startled gaze turning to Arthur.

"It 's so nice to the populace," said Lady Susan admired a little closer to Merlin. "The men like her, even among the principles, there are very few."

Merlin felt all the blood rush in the face and automatically moves the arm to the head with a nervous giggle. Suddenly had the feeling of having made another one of those incredibly stupid things that Arthur reproved him so much, and it was confirmed when he felt a weight cadergli the sleeve and a thud, like a stone thrown into a pond.

"Ah! A mouse! Help!

Merlin closed his eyes and said no, that Arthur could not be really wet ball of fur that was wallowing in the soup Lasy Susan. He wondered whether, if Arthur had not been able to survive the night, would be required to maintain the appearance of the Prince until he found a way to bring back the dead afterlife. The hypothesis was quite preferable to having to explain the truth to Uther.

"Technically speaking it would be a hamster ..." Merlin said casually as he tried to devise a way to avoid the future king of Camelot drowned in four inches of pea soup. But Lady Susan did not seem to even feel it, too busy to get on the chair and scream very little Lady.

"Kill him, kill him, kill him!"

Thirty ladies fainted on the spot while valiant forty-two Knights jumped to their feet with drawn swords ready to sacrifice their lives against microscopic enemies. Panic reigned in the room now. Merlin wondered if a sudden fog could have passed unnoticed by the roomful of guests, but finally opted to put his hand in the soup, grab Arthur by the collar and cut and run.

"If only I had listened when I brought the dragon" Merlin Confabula the hamster that is struggling in his hand as he made off with guests looking for a door.

"If only you were not deficient," said the other spitting pea soup.

"Oops, I can not interpret your shrill squeaks," said the dark while, found the exit, make sure that the corridor is not any. "Now you better come back in your room, careful not to make you see or walk by someone!"

Merlin left with little by Arthur fall on the floor and, without staying to hear squeaks of the prince's anger, shut the door.

"Er, I mean the mouse-hamster- will not give us any more trouble: I have been involved personally, "reassured the present while trying to find a lady waving a handkerchief over his face.

"My hero," chirped Lady Susan with ecstatic expression on his face. "So it's true what they say of the great and brave Prince Arthur."

"Behold, I ..."

At that moment there was a scream hysterical come from beyond the door closed room, followed in turn by a great noise like pots thrown to the ground.

"Help! A mouse in the kitchen, "cried a maid entered the room out of breath while jumping on a table in a desperate search for salvation.

Merlin threw his head in his hands. Protect the downside was proving harder than expected business.

*

"It was not so bad, "Merlin once considered back in the rooms of the prince and resumed its normal appearance.

Arthur gave him a dirty look. Not that he looks very intimidating then ruffled his hair because of the pea soup and boiling water on him from lanciatagli cooks.

"I mean, maybe it would have been better if you had not fled in the middle of the room when the servants of the castle you pursued bearing pans and sticks to get the skin, but basically it seems that King Duncan if it is taken that much. "

Indeed Donnus King seemed to have spent the best night of his life, considering the way he laughed (or maybe it was just the fault of the wine). Uther, however, had a very different sense of humor and, after sending the pillory ten twenty cooks and dishwashers, had retired in his room saying out loud that the next day someone would pay dearly for this.

"Know that when I come back in my body you'll regret the days when I used to clean the stables," informed him with a mournful squeak Arthur.

"If you say so do not give me a big incentive to find the antidote. Can not find that Lady Susan is very pretty? I think we have a crush on me, "he said gleefully Merlin sitting on the bed and leaving his legs dangling back and forth.

Arthur stared at him with disgust expression (Merlin vedergliela was so accustomed to his face that he had no difficulty in recognizing the features even when he was completely covered in hair).

"No! Lady Susan has taken a crush on me, Arthur, Prince of Camelot! Certainly not to the servant and fool with serious mental disorders Merlin! "

" I know that, "Merlin muttered dropping dead weight on the bed canopy. "But for a while 'it was nice illusion. For you is easy: you're a prince, and many people find you attractive and brave and all those other things that appeal to principles. I'm not used to feel wanted. "

Merlin felt a paw on the bed and saw Arthur climb to a stop a few centimeters from him.

"Maybe not so strange that someone can find a little ... interesting, "squeaks softly Arthur. "You're incredibly stupid, yes, and you never do what they tell you to do, but basically you can say you are ... watchable. "

Merlin raised both eyebrows staring at the hamster to do with curiosity.

Arthur's jumped on his belly and then up in his clothes until you reach the height of the face. The Arthur fast legs caused shivers to tickle the skin of the dark, but Merlin did not have time to complain that the hamster rubbed its nose against her lips.

Merlin blinked a few times. Then again, just in case.

"And what is this?"

"Kiss," Arthur said, clearly frustrated by the lack of receptivity on the part of his servant.

"And why-"

"Merlin, please, for once in your life shut up," Arthur said, leaping over his head nestled between her hair, clearly happy to have found such a comfortable nest.

Merlin closed his eyes trying to make clear in their minds. His first kiss was with a hamster. Certainly if it was thought very differently, but given the circumstances maybe he could not complain too much.

"It 's been quite anticlimatico. Especially because of all that hair. "

"When I come back normal I swear that I will not get off this bed until the only words that come out your mouth will not be Yes Arthur and his orders sire."
